My Summers at JODHPUR, RJ, IND

It might sound stupid, but yes we did go to Jodhpur this summer where the temperature generally reaches 50-55 degree celcius. Initially we were skeptical about it but the thought of less crowd, peaceful roaming around the city and not so abnormal expenses etc. encouraged us to do this daring task, that too in the month of May.

Also, I haven’t met my college friends for a long time and I was going through a rough patch, that’s why we also wanted to visit one of our favourite places i.e. Salasar Balaji Temple in Rajasthan. So we started our trip with that.

This place is synonymous to positivity, hope, belief. Also the peda and boondi ka laddoo here is just too good.

The nearest railway station is Ratangarh, we went there to catch our overnight train. It was late, so my inner photographer got activated. And here’s the result.

As you can see, I love symmetry!

Now the fun part was as we reached jodhpur, we were mentally prepared for heavy heat waves but as the quote says, “God help those who help themselves.” We were welcomed by rain showers. Can you believe it! Yes it did happen. 😂

Now what we had in front of us was a pleasant weather and 2 fuckin days to enjoy, inhale positivity and exhale negativity.

We went to places, roamed around the streets, tried to digest every single famous dish possible. And on top of that, the place where we stayed was zostel and they had a rooftop cafe called as the blue turben. It was weekend and what we witnessed there was rajasthani folk music, little drizzle and good food, good people. Just like a perfect trip in midst of a terrifying summer.

Let me attach some beautiful pictures.

Ghantaghar, the main market. At 6 am. See those clouds?

Let me share some inside photos from this magnificent architecture, Umaid Bhawan Palace.

It’s a collage made of 3 different pictures.

Mehrangarh Fort, it’s the main attraction of Jodhpur.

In such places it’s better to take the lift, go to the top and enjoy the view!
The Panoramic view of Jodhpur from the top of Mehrangarh Fort. Isn’t it beautiful 😍
A collage from the inside beauty of the fort!

Let’s have a look at how beautiful this city is, at night also.

Ghantaghar, Fort and railway station!

Also if I talk about the food then some most famous dishes are Makhaniya Lassi at Mishrilal , Mirchi wada, Samosa at Surya Namkeen, Daal Bati at Bhawani, Dessert like Ghewar at Janta Sweets.

Aesthetics – 0, Taste – 1

How can I forget to share some good food pictures. Aesthetics – 1, Taste – 0.5

Overall this trip made me realise that nothing in this life is permanent. Everything is temporary. It seems A good time will fly too soon, on the other hand it might look like you’re stuck in a bad time for so long, but it also passes at exact same pace as the good time. Memories remain with us and life moves on. Just keep breathing, have faith in yourself and let it flow.

Thankyou for being here and tolerating my nonsense, it became a long post I know still I just wanted to put it out.

A contagious smile to whosoever reads this.
